Well last night after sharing another deliciously prepared hotel meal with my mom, (ready for fresh fruit and real food), we watched the Queens Jubilee on ABC, cranked the air in our room down to 64 and slept hard. I woke up at 4:45 central time and called Tim. He was working a graveyard and I missed him.  Just hearing from him made me feel 20 times better. I hope today brings good news for the babies and their hearts are perfect! I would love to be able to just go home to my family and have an amnioreduction. My only fear is having to come back in 2 weeks. I only have 4 more weeks and some change that I am a candidate for the surgery but we are hoping to completely avoid the surgery all together. I would hate to have to have a procedure done that would comprimise the babies if unneeded.

Well off to Dunkin Donuts to use a gift card my aunt gracious supplied us :) and then off to my test! Pray for good news everyone. I think with that babies on everyone's minds and in their prayers we could see something good today!

  1. Hi Jessica, my name is Jenny and I am about 10 days behind your due date and received the Stage 1 TTTS diagnosis at 18 weeks 5 days. We drove to Minneapolis the next day to meet with a specialist who recommended the amnio reduction and are checking in on our twin girls again today (one week later). I hope the tests to look at the hearts provide you with good news today! I definitely have an idea of the stress you are dealing with and wanted to let you know that we are thinking about you and your twin boys!

    1. Hi Jenny! It's nice to hear from another mother going through the same things we are! It is a boat load of stress huh?! We are currently sitting in a "nesting" room at the Fetal Care Center of Cincinnati Children's Hospital awaiting my team of doctors and nurses to get out of surgery to review my case again and let me know what the heck is going on! I'd love to hear about how you and your little ladies are doing :) After my first amnio our fluid levels leveled out-ish. Our donor went down from almost 10cm to 6.4 and and our recipient went from 1.29 to 2.5 in an hour from the lack of pressure! Right now since our big guy is so full of fluid, our little man has no measurable fluid but has fluid in his bladder! I'd love all about your little ones. please get back to me!
