Tonight I nursed both of the boys. There are no words to describe the feeling a mother gets when she's skin to skin nursing her child. And I got to feel that twice tonight. Having twins really is a blessing. I get every good, bad, ugly, and amazing feeling twice. Four times if you count our other boys at home. Being a mother has opened my eyes to a whole new side of the world I would have missed out on if I hadn't met Tim. He has provided me with such a beautiful family.

Gavin and gabe are both gaining weight. Gavin is a little faster. Hes up to 4lb 8.6oz and gabe is 4lb 3.9oz. Moving on up! Gavin did have two larger feedings yesterday when I fed him.

I went over to the ronald McDonald house tonight for dinner. I met a few families with babies in the nicu and a few with children who had cancer. Please keep them in your prayers with the boys. All of these families seem to be struggling just a little bit harder then us at this point.

Gavin- pulled out his feeding tube. Hes in the cars blanket then elephant blanket and is wearing the I love grandma shirt

Gabe- wearing a blue tee and has a brown polka dot blanket :)
Well today almost our entire support system collapsed due to the stress of this situation. We are being forced to face this tough situation and it wasn't by choice. We are trying to make the best of it but it's not always easy.

The boys have take a step back. They cannot regulate their body temperatures so they were put back in their isolettes.

So long open cribs, hello incubators.

Gavin is up to 4lb 6.7oz. Gabe is up to 4lb 3.4oz. They have added two more nippling to their feedings and today we are going to try actual nursing.

The doctors and nurses cannot teach the babies to breastfeed so I now have to find a way to get up to Springfield daily for as long as I can and the week they come home I'm supposed to be there for every feeding. The nurses are going to call the Ronald McDonald house to see if they can work something out. If not I'll most likely sleep in a k care chair next to the babies and then come home to shower sometime during the day and miss a feeding.

Ethan's doing well. Being a wild man! He slept alone in his big boy bed last night from 10p-5a until he weaseled his way down to the opening and fell out in his sleep. Daddy rocked him back to sleep and he slept in his bed alone another 45mins until he climbed up into ours and slept until 8:30a.

He's napping in there now too so hopefully he will get used to it before the boys come home in 2 weeks.

Tim is officially quitting smoking so everyone who smokes please do not smoke around him. He needs support right now and doesn't need to be tempted. Please dont offer him any. He needs to quit for the babies. We also no longer have the funds to support his habit.

Just a reminder if anyone wants to clip box tops x is collecting them for school! :) he wants to win the prize at homecoming for having the most! He is really enjoying kindergarten.
